All campus undergraduate students are welcome to participate
in the
Virginia Tech Regional Mathematics Contest
(to be held on campus, Saturday October 27 from 9:00-11:30am) and in
the
William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Competition,
(to be held on campus Saturday December 1 from 10:00-1:00
and 3:00-6:00).

mailing list for reminders about the competitions and practices.
Please register by the end of September if possible; there is no fee
and no obligation if you register, but the Putnam competition requires
a roster by mid-October. If you've missed this timetable, you may
still register and compete on a space-available basis,
first-registered-first-served.
We will have a weekly practice seminar on Wednesday afternoons from 5:00-6:15 in room MTH 0102, starting on September 19. This seminar is offered as a one-credit course, MATH 299B: "Putnam Express". All are welcome to participate, whether or not registered for the course.

Presently over 3000 students and 500 colleges from the U.S. and Canada compete each year. Individuals are recognized alphabetically in groups starting with the top 5.
