Conference Logistics

Dear conference participants,

We are looking forward to seeing you here in Maryland very soon. We have some last minute information that may be of use to you.

Banquet payment

For those of you that are purchasing tickets for the banquet, a reminder that the cost per ticket is $10 for current graduate students and $25 for everyone else. We can only accept payments made in cash (U.S. $$) or personal check. If you are going to write a check, then it should be made payable to: "Department of Mathematics Coffee Fund." The money will be collected at the time of registration which will be in the rotunda of the math building starting noon on Friday.

Parking

For those of driving into campus on Friday (the first day of the conference), please note that we have prepaid parking coupons available for the visitor parking lot across from the A.V.Williams Building on campus (go to http://www.parking.umd.edu/themap/ and look for
A.V.Williams). You can pick up the coupons during registration.

Saturday

Please note that there is a football game on campus on
Saturday, 09/23 starting at around 1 pm. This means that almost all
parking lots will fill up and traffic around the university will be
quite bad. It is highly recommended that you walk from your hotels
(which are less than a mile away) to and from the conference. We expect
the game to be done by about 4 pm and traffic to be dispersed by 5.30
pm, so if you want to drive to the Inn & Conference Center for the
banquet, it should then be possible.

Note that there are two parking possibilities near the conference
center. The parking garage adjacent to the center will cost $1 per hour but you
can park in Lot 1 for free. We will have maps detailing the parking
areas which you can pick up during registration.

The conference will start at 2 pm Friday so we hope to see you there!!!
