Trigonometric Functions

Trigonometric Functions - Math Abundance
Created by Johan Claeys, Math Abundance is an online tutorial covering a collection of different mathematical topics. This particuluar section covers four of the six trigonometric functions; sime, cosine, tangent, and cotangent. This section is well written and well formatted. It is relatively easy to understand. To make it easy to pick out the most important facts, blue boxes are used to highlight the most important information as you go along. This site is recommended for those who have at least seen the information in class once before, while those who have not seen this information before may find this site a bit overwhelming.

Sines - Dave's Short Trig Course
Dave E. Joyce, Associate Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science at Clark University has created "Dave's Short Trig Course" which covers most of the major topics dealing with Trigonometry. This section deals with Sines. It address the chord or circle definition and the right triangle definition of sine. The site is well formatted and easy to navigate. The information is concise yet informatiove. At the end of the section there are practice exercises along with hints and answers what you can use as a way to check your understanding of the topic. This section is recommended for those who are learning Trig for the first time as well as those who are looking for a quick review. Cosines - Dave's Short Trig Course
Another section from Dave's Short Trig Course, this section deals with Cosines. As with the section on Sines, it is well written and well formatted. The lesson is easy to read and easy to follow. At the end of the section there are practice exercises with hints and answers to help you to check your understanding of the information. This site is recommended for those who are learning trig for the first time as well as those who are looking for a quick review. Tangents and Slopes - Dave's Short Trig Course
Yet another section from Dave's Short Trig Course, this on deals with Tangents and their use with slopes of lines. Three different definitions on the Tangent are given; the circle definition, the sine and cosine definition, and the right triangle definition. As with the others, this section is very well written and easy to understand. It includes exercises with hints and answers at the end of the section to test your understanding of the topics covered. This site is recommended for students who are learning Trig for the first time as well as those who are just looking for a quick review of the topic. Trigonometric Functions - Dave's Short Trig Course
This section of Dave's Short Trig Course deals with the graphs of the functions discussed in the other sections mentioned above. It contains graphs of all six major Trig functions (sin, cos, tan, cot, sec, csc). The graphs included in this section are very well done and easy to understand. This section is recommended for those who have never seen graphs of Trigonometric Functions before as well as those who are looking for a review on the topic.
