Derivatives

Chapter 3

Limit Definition of Derivative, Product Rule, Quotient Rule, Chain Rule, Differentiating Special Functions, and Tangent Line Approximation
Created by Harvey Mudd College as part of their Online Mathematics Tutorial, these tutorials give detailed explanations of topics related to Derivatives. Most of the topics contain graphics to help explain the main ideas. All are well formatted and easy to understand. At the bottom of each section you will find a section titles "Key Concepts". This section recaps the most important ideas which were covered. I would recommend this site to anyone who needs more help with derivatives.

S.O.S. Math - Derivatives
S.O.S. Math is a mathematics help site created by Math Medics, L.L.C. They have put together an extensive collection of tutorials to help students with various mathematical topics. The link above will take you to the first of a series of pages on Derivatives. After finishing the lesson contained on their page, you can continue with more lessons on derivatives by clicking the NEXT link at the bottom of their page. This sequence of pages covers the following topics: Definition of Derivative, Using the Definition to Compute a Derivative, Techniques of Differentiation (including the product and quotient rules), Trigonometric Derivatives, Chain Rule, Implicit Differentiation, Linear Approximation, and Newton-Raphson.
The formatting of this site is well done and the graphics are excellent. Most sections include some type of exercises which you can use as practice or as extra examples of the topics covered.
