- Linear Algebra and its Applications by David C. Lay,
2nd edition. The syllabus of
Math 461
consists of the core material in Chapters 1-7.
- Tests
- During the course there will be three 50-min tests (written in class).
Arranging a makeup test is not possible except with a documented
excuse provided prior to the exam and acceptable according to
the University policy.
- Homework
- There will be ten homework assignments throughout
the course, each worth 10 points.
Homework will be assigned on Fridays and is due the
following Friday in class.
- Grading
- Three 50-min tests (Top 2 scores - 100 pt each): 200 points
- Homework: 100 points
- Final exam: 200 points
- Total: 500 points
- Test dates
- Test 1: Friday, February 9, 12:00pm
- Test 2: Friday, March 16, 12:00pm
- Test 3: Friday, April 20, 12:00pm
- Final exam: Wednesday, May 23, 8:00-10:00am.
