    Syllabus

  • Math 660 covers topics in complex analysis required in the qualifying analysis exam. The topics include : analytic functions, power series, Cauchy theorem and applications, harmonic functions, geometric function theory including conformal mappings and Riemann mapping theorem. That includes Chapters 1-10 in Lang's book and some additional material.
  • Grading. There will be a total of 600 points available in the course, allocated as follows. Two exams, each worth 100 points, home work assignments and several quizzes worth together 200 points, and cumulative final exam worth 200 points.
  • Tentative exam dates. Exam 1 - March 6. Exam 2- April 17 .
