AMSC 698K Assignments, Fall 2001

(18 August version)

Each student will be given two written assignments worth 100 points each. Each assignment will be to articulate into a report your class notes from a set of lectures on a single body of topics.

How Each Homework Should Look. Your homework should be neat and legible. I recommend, but do not require, that they be prepared in LaTeX. Each assignment should be written in coherent, complete sentences. I expect to see correct grammar and spelling. (You should learn to use a spell-checker!) Equations referred to in the text should be displayed, labeled, and referred to by that label. (There should be no arrows running from the text to equations!) Each assignment should be stapled together. The cover page should include: your name, AMSC 698K, my name, and a title.
