Hi! You've reached the webpage of Poorani Subramanian. I am currently a graduate student in Applied Mathematics and Scientific Computation at the University of Maryland. You can look at the short version of me, or view my resume (pdf).

I work with the genome group at IPST. As a first iteration, so you can see what kinds of things I am working on, you can look at this presentation, I made at a CBCB seminar earlier this year. Alternately, you can see the slides for my oral exam talk for some background. We are currently working on assembling the cow genome.

This semester I am teaching Math 130 and grading for Math 405.

I also really like to volunteer, a lot. Right now, I volunteer with DC Cares. But I'm always on the make looking for a good time!
