Provisional Schedule and Syllabus

Sections  are from Probability and Statistics for Engineering and the Sciences (fifth edition) by Jay L. Devore. Please note that it is not possible, with the time constraints of a summer session, to schedule a review period for every examination. However, the material covered the day before each examination will not be tested until the following examination. Because the subject is cumulative, it is not meaningful to say that the last examination will not be cumulative. However no explicit attempt will be made on that examination to retest previously tested material.

REVIEW

EXAM

The schedule below assigns problems from  Devore's text. The problems are to be handed in on the date in the Due Date column, and will be graded and returned on the following class day. After class on the due date, the entry in the Due Date  column will become a link to a solution page. For this reason, no late homework
will be accepted. Early homework, however, will always be accepted. If you know you will need to miss class on a particular date, you should hand in the homework for that date ahead of time.
