Nonlocal Aggregation Models

Dr. Gaël Raoul

Abstract: We consider a nonlocal aggregation model , where G is an interaction kernel and V a external potential applied to the system. If G and V are smooth, steady-states are generically sums of Dirac masses. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for a given steady-state to be locally stable. We also investigate the case of an integration kernel which is singular (and repulsive) at 0. Then, the solution behaves more like diffusion.
