I graduated with a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Maryland . My primary research interest includes representations of metaplectic and orthogonal groups over p-adic fields. I am also interested in Hecke algebras of linear and non-linear groups.

It was prepared with the help of Dr. Jeffrey Adams and presented in February 2005, during the Lie Groups and Representation Theory seminar.

It was written under the advisory of Dr. Marek Szyjewski at the Math Department of Silesian University, Katowice, Poland. I defended it in May 2001.

I wrote it under the advisory of Dr. Karsten Grove at the Math Department of University of Maryland. I defended it in May 2003.
