How to Get to the Math Department by Car

Interactive map, get driving directions, show nearby hotels

  • From I-95/495, take exit 25 (US-1, College Park) to US-1 South
  • From the Baltimore-Washington Parkway (295), take the exit Greenbelt to MD-193 West and then US-1 South.

Parking on Campus (updated August 2009)

  • Effective August 2009, the campus has two kinds of visitor parking spots: meters (few in number and really only good for very short stays) and pay station spots. There are two nearby pay station locations, both shown in the map above in color:
    • Paint Branch Drive Visitor Lot (boxed ``P'' on the map, approximately 150 visitor spots)
    • Regents Drive Garage, near the Fieldhouse Drive entrance (approximately 20 spots, at top on the map)
  • Weekdays after 4pm and all day Saturday and Sunday parking is free for everybody at many unrestricted lots: AA, AA2, B, C, CC, DD, F (Row1), FF, FF2, I*, JJ2, KK1, K1-3, K5, K6, K*1, K*3, K*4, L, N2, N5, P, P*, PP*, PP2, RR, Z, Z1, 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11b, 11c, 11h, XX1-XX4, XX5, U5, UMUC, O4, O5. (Do NOT park at a parking meter! Double check the sign at the entrance of the parking lot!)

  • Interactive campus map, with an index by building (slightly out of date) (PDF)
  • If you are an official department visitor (such as a seminar speaker) and the department has promised to pay for your parking, make sure you get an 8-digit PIN from the department for use at the pay station. This will cover your parking for a full day.
