UMD 2025 adic Geometry RIT

The adic geometry RIT is a reading group in the UMD Mathematics Department starting in May 2025 and open to anyone who wants to learn the basics of basics of adic spaces.

  1. The Hodge‐Tate period map on perfectoid Shimura variety by Yihang Zhu. These notes are the main references for the first part of the RIT. Section 2 gives an introduction to Huber's adic spaces.
  2. Bosch's Lectures on Formal and Rigid Geometry. Introduces p-adic geometry from a different perspective and proves several fundamental theorems such as Grauert's theorem.
