Highlights of kinetic research at the Iowa State University

I will briefly overview some highlights of kinetic research at the Iowa State University. As a current example, I will discuss threshold dynamics in some Fokker-Planck equations that model several important phenomena, such as concentration (in photon transport), phase transition (in polymers), and pattern formation (in evolution dispersal). I'll describe an explanation for the threshold phenomenon and discuss possible challenges one has to face when one attempts to numerically capture these.
