The complexities of a simple first-order aggregation model

Abstract:

A nonlocal first-order model for aggregation behaviour (discrete and continuum) will be presented and studied. Issues that will be discussed include: equilibria and long-time behaviour, anisotropic interactions, and the derivation of the model as the zero-inertia limit of a second-order model.
