Abstract:  

The talk will present joint work with Charles Fefferman and James Lee-Thorp on one-electron Schroedinger operators with potentials either having honeycomb symmetry, or arising from a domain wall between two regions each having honeycomb symmetry. Topics include Dirac points, edge states and edge resonances, validity of the tight binding approximation, and exceptional values of coupling constants.
