On kinetic Cucker-Smale flocking models with a strong local alignment force

Abstract:  

We discuss about kinetic Cucker-Smale flocking model with a strong local alignment force, and its hydrodynamic limit towards the pressureless Euler system with flocking force. A main difficulty of deriving the hydrodynamic limit comes from a singularity of local equilibrium as a Dirac measure, that leads to lack of pressure in the limit system.
