Abstract:

Ratings systems were introduced in various games (ELO in chess, in tennis...) as a way to rank the players. We introduce a corresponding continuous model for the evolution of each player's "score" following their interactions (or matches). We then study the long time behavior of the model and show that this scoring system indeed evaluate correctly the players's inner strength.
