Regularity and long-time behavior for hydrodynamic flocking models

Abstract:

In this talk, we will discuss wellposedness theory and the long-time behavior for various Euler Alignment models on the 1D torus. We will show that for large times, the deviation from a uniform flock can be controlled by an auxiliary quantity that depends only on the initial data. We will also consider some issues that arise when the problem is posed on the full real line rather than the periodic setting.
