Directions from Airports to the University of Maryland

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)

1. Take the Metro Yellow Line in the direction of ``Mt. Vernon Sq./7th St.''
2. At L'Enfant Plaza, Gallery Place, or Mt. Vernon Sq., switch to the Green Line, which runs along the same track, in the direction of "Greenbelt". Get off at the station ``College Park/University of Maryland''. (See the map of the DC Metro system. Metro costs $3.35 during peak times, $2.35 otherwise.)
3. Follow the directions to campus from the College Park Metro station.

Dulles International Airport (IAD)

• Cheapest method, takes about 1 hour 30 minutes:
  1. Washington Flyer has a ticket booth at door 4 on the arrivals level. Buses to ``West Falls Church'' Metro station are $10 and leave about every 30 minutes.
  2. From the West Falls Church Metro station take the Orange Line (direction New Carrollton) to the station ``L'Enfant Plaza'' (ride takes about 27 minutes).
  3. Take the Green Line (direction Greenbelt) to the station ``College Park/University of Maryland''.
  4. Follow the directions to campus from the College Park Metro station.

• More comfortable method, takes about 1 hour: Shared Supershuttle vans take you to the University or a hotel for about $28. Go to the SuperShuttle ticket counter on the lower level.

Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)

• The Metrobus line B30 departs about every 30 minutes (6:52am-11:19pm weekdays, 9:31am-11:21pm weekend/holidays) at Pier E, International Terminal, lower level, see schedule and map (PDF). The bus goes takes you to the Greenbelt Metro station for $3.00 From there take the Green Line to the College Park station (1 stop, $1.35). Then follow the directions to campus from the College Park Metro station.
• Supershuttle has a counter on the lower level of the Airport. They have vans leaving at least once per hour to College Park, and they take you to the University or a hotel for about $21.
