CONFERENCE LECTURES

ABSTRACT

This research is a continuation of the previous work on derivation and analysis of asymptotic preserving numerical method for kinetic chemotaxis models. The aim of this project is to develop an efficient and reliable scheme that is  able to approximate solutions with blow-up and at the same time is uniformly accurate with respect to a small parameter appearing in the kinetic model.  Numerical solutions obtained by a newely developed kinetic scheme will be compared with those obtained by the fully macroscopic scheme derived by A. Kurganov and A. Chertock and studied further by A. Kurganov and A. Lukacova for two-species chemotaxis model.
