The ultimate goal of this network is the development, analysis and computation of novel kinetic descriptions with particular focus on
KINet is offering a unique platform to carry out these objectives by fostering crossfertilization between mathematics and other scientific disciplines. It is centered around three hubs: the Center for Scientific Computation & Math Modeling (CSCAMM) in the University of Maryland, the Institute for Computational and Engineering Science (ICES) at UT Austin, and the Department of Mathematics at the University of WisconsinMadison.

KiNet — an NSF supported Research Network in Mathematical Sciences was established in 3/2012.
INTELLECTUAL MERIT: hubs, nodes and core participants. During the eightyear period of 3/2012–2/2020, KiNet fostered an array of research and training activities outlined on the network website.
BROADER IMPACT: The Scientific output of KiNet includes … a total of 57 conferences and workshops, … 6 summer/winter schools, 80+ Kinetic Interaction Teams (KITs) and 13 Research Interaction Weekend (RIWs). All together, these KiNet activities involved 1400 different senior and junior researchers, including 500+ postdocs and 600+ reported graduate students.
